Had my cataract surgery yesterday

might be one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had ................lol

the journey started about three months , well , two years ago really

two years ago the eye doctor said I had a cataract starting in my left eye , and would one day need to get it taken care of

so , I've lived with this cataract for about two years , and finally , got to the point where it was time

sooooooooooooo....................

about three months ago , I made an appointment to see my eye doctor ., but it took close to month to get in and see her , and yes , she said it was time , so she made an appointment to see, a cataract specialist which took another month , then they scheduled me for surgery , which took another three weeks

the whole time I'm at the hospital was like 3 hours , paper work , pre surgery prep , etc

but the surgery it's self........................LOL

I'm out it the staging area , laying on the bed thingy , staring straight up at the ceiling , , they wheel me into the operating room , , all I see is the ceiling , the Anesthesiologists guy introduces himself , then they strap my head to the table , throw a sheet thingy over my head , tell he to look at the light , I see a bunch of little white ball like lights , then I see a couple blue square lights , a little pressure here , a little pressure there , I can feel them putting a couple eye drops in , it's like 5 minutes later , their wheeling me back out of the operating room

wham , bam , thank you mam, and out the door I went

but the strange part , after three months of waiting and worrying , there I am , laying on the operating table , and I can here the doctor and nurse talking

and what are they talking about you wonder............

It's getting cold now here in Iowa , and bugs start to find their way into your house

as I'm being operated on , their talking about Boxelder bug's and Lady bugs

after three months of stress , I just about burst into laughter as I'm laying there on the operating table as like all that stress , just simply went away

not sure what I was expecting , but that wasn't it...........................lol

so now , here I am , typing all this with my brand new eye

I'm part cyborg now............lol
