For years, decades actually, after the movie Planet of the Apes came out one could see dozens, maybe hundreds, of props used in that movie lying around Universal City Studios. They used to point them out on the tour.
I used to go on the tour pretty often, every couple of years maybe.... and it was heart breaking to see those props rotting away in the California Sun.
Last time I went... I forget when, not that long ago.... I was going to point them out to my grandkids but I didn't see any. Rotted away? Could also be that they've re-routed the tour somewhat. Gotta be some of them left... perhaps lying flat now, and hidden by weeds, but they must still be there. - JamesJM
