If a kid wants to be a Structural Engineer they by all means, have Advanced Geometry and Calculus available. Science....... I had Neutrons and Protons tossed at me. I have yet to remotely need that info , FORTY FOUR years later.
My Grandfather quit School in the middle of 6th grade because he HAD to find a job. He went on to be a Book Keeper and Records Supervisor for a Major Farmers Market here in Jacksonville. In THOSE days, a kid knew the Basics by the 6th grade. BUT.....There was strict discipline and SELF accountability too!
