On the way back from Home Depot, across the Westside of Jacksonville, I hit a drive through. As I ate, I did a nostalgia tour of the parts of the Westside where I grew up. I saw ONE boy, about 10 years old, standing with his dog on a leash in his driveway, as he stared into a phone. I passed THREE large parks. One even has a water fountain for kids to play in. I did not see a single kid in either park. I did not even see smaller kids with Parents. Yeah..It's pretty warm outside but that was NEVER a thought when I was young. Just a few years ago, you could see maybe 3-4 outside. USED to be that SOME Parents insisted their kids get out of the dungeon for a little while!
And everyone wonders why kids are so depressed and angry these days??
