In California Adventure, (part of Disneyland but it's a separate theme park), there is a ride called "Guardian's of the Galaxy" (based on the movie).
It used to be called "Tower of Terror" and the theme was the old Twilight Zone TV Show.. it was a WONDERFUL theme and then they had to scrap it for the stupid Guardian's of the Galaxy... I'll never forgive them for that... but I digress... that's not my point in this post.
I need to explain the ride.... it's like an elevator in a hotel.... not sure how many floors but several. The ride goes from floor to floor, straight up and down, sometime going up one floor, sometimes several... and the same going down.... complete free fall and you rise out of your seat, (weightlessness).
Last year... or maybe the year before... I left my cell phone in my shirt pocket so when the elevator got to the very top floor then immediately dropped to the bottom floor my cell phone flew out of my pocket.... by a 'miracle' it actually landed in my hand as it slowed near the bottom. Then THIS year -
You guessed it... once again I forgot and left my cell phone in my shirt pocket... and once again it took flight out of my shirt pocket during the long drop... but this time it didn't land in my hand. I heard something hit the wall next to my seat and looking down, (while flying up and down), I saw my phone on the floor. Luckily no damage.
So two years in a row I had my head up my derrière. the big question, of course, is will I do it again next year? - JamesJM
