Steve, I'll include the photo I tried to send you below.
Well... it was fun. The weather couldn't have been better. The crowds were... well, it's Disneyland and it's always crowded BUT.... no where near as bad as I was expecting or had seen in the past. By noon on Friday we had ridden every major ride in Disneyland and a few smaller rides. By noon on Saturday we had ridden every major ride in California Adventure plus some smaller ones.
I was especially fond of the new ride in Toontown.... basically a vintage Mickey and Goofy cartoon while riding a train and done in 2023 tech.
No complaints.... until today. Now of course I was expecting bad traffic.... but not this bad. Thru Anaheim/LA leaving it wasn't bad at all... then we headed into the hills out of San Fernando Valley and hell set in. Traffic jams are common in LA of course... but this one was the entire length of the Grapevine AND THEN all the way down I-5 until I exited at Harris Ranch. Never seen anything like that before.... and I've traveled on several holidays before.... never anything like this. Something like 170 miles of stop and go traffic.
Pulling into the Disney Hotel my granddaughter met me at my car and said "HURRY PAPA, WE HAVE TO BUY THEM NOW BEFORE THEY SELL OUT" .... so before checking in I made my first purchase.
I really shouldn't have mentioned the traffic jam in this post because it was a great trip.
