Because of oncoming weather they now have consolidated everything for the men's alpine into just one race(slalom). Starts at 11:am according to my son. Awards will be tonight and then everyone gets out of Dodge in the a.m. before the storm arrives. Even with his fever Teddy will be racing ! (good for him). His BiB No is 118. Not sure what his staring position is but i suspect in the 90s.
Mammoth always uses the same race course so it keeps the rec skier off it. Teddy has raced on it many times the last 4-5 yrs. Advantage? I doubt it since most of the competitors, if not familiar with the course, are elite and certainly worthy of Olympic tryouts. So this race is significant for them in terms of points.
As a side note-he loves the slalom but he also crashes a lot. But that's just racing.
Good luck to him. More importantly we get to see him and his dad likely tomorrow-as long as 395 is clear.
