The Secondary played better last season and tackled... not great.. but a lot better than this year. No pass rush is gonna matter if QBs are dumping the ball in 2 seconds. Not even Miller can stop that.
I'm still not understanding your argument 'gator.
For the past week or so, you've been posting complaints about the defensive scheme. This is despite the fact that it's essentially the same scheme that was successfully employed last season. During last season's playoff run, the defense gave up less than 19 ppg. And truth be told, it would've been significantly lower than that had the offense not had a 2nd half turnover-fest in Tampa.
But in your comments above, you seem to acknowledge that the personnel (and their level of play) running a particular scheme plays a huge factor.
So which is it? The Rams' scheme...or the personnel running it?
Obviously, Von Miller is a GREAT player who will be deserving of his unanimous 1st ballot HOF vote. But truth be told, for more than half the season (before all hope was abandoned) this defense was holding its opponents to 18 ppg. This was without Miller's pass rush and a dry spell with respect to creating turnovers. Now, I know that this is an inconvenient truth to a lot of people who don't like the current scheme, but the bottom line IS THE BOTTOM LINE (i.e. limiting the number of points your opponent scores).
So, can you please clarify your position on this?
Are you:
A) Upset with the defensive scheme; or,
B ) Upset with the play of the personnel running it?
Or maybe it's C) Just pizzed.
If it's C...I'm right there with you!
