I think we're seeing a lot of the same things but I don't know that we're asking the right questions.

When I wrestled, everything was simple. You wanted to wrestle varsity? Beat the varsity player at your weight class.

Team sports are different. How does a player fit into a defense? What roles are good for him?
And what seen demands a promotion or demotion?

Whenever a coach makes a change he takes a risk ...

So what we know is that "for whatever reason" Cobie was promoted OR Kendricks was demoted.
In my opinion it was the latter.

Only then could we see what the kid would do in a live game scenario.

My guess in this area is that Morris is less likely to supplant someone than we are. Coaches are on a spectrum with that. Some coaches need more safety to game plan and call games confidently. So be it.
I'm pretty sure thats why we haven't seen McCutcheon. It's not his talent. It's Mcvay's confidence on his ability to make the right reads so he can call the game he wants to call.

As far as Shaun Jolly. Kid is a Darius Williams clone. I called for him to be picked at the beginning of the college season last year. He has special feet and short area burst. Williams and Scott didn't see the field until the end of year 2 for them. Then by year 3 they were ready to roll.
