Morris has a rep with the Falcons that he favored ‘his boys’ over other qualified players.
This is Morris' coaching history with the Falcons:
Assistant head coach (2015–2019)
Pass game coordinator (2015–2019)
Wide receivers coach (2016–2019)
Defensive coordinator (2020)
Interim head coach (2020)
Was he in a position as Assistant head coach, Pass game coordinator, and/or Wide receivers coach to favor 'his boys' over more qualified players? I was not aware that those titles included a say in who played and who didn't but maybe they do. (To the best of my knowledge the current Rams coaches in comparable titles - Thomas Brown, Zac Robinson, and Eric Yarber - do not determine who plays and who doesn't play.)
Maybe it was when he was the DC in Atlanta? That stint lasted a total of 5 games. Hard for me to imagine anyone developing any kind of reputation in 5 games.
Or was it when he was interim HC for the last 11 games of the '20 season? The Falcons went 4-7 under Morris' direction after starting 0-5. Is that the timeframe when he was supposedly starting the wrong guys?

Anyway, I’ve tried my level best to find a logical reason for this Kendrick/Durant thing and nothing else makes sense. Since Morris is the DC I’ve gotta lay this ‘mistake’ at his feet.
Really? You can't find a logical reason? I've laid out a perfectly acceptable alternative elsewhere in this thread that is supported by alyo's scouting observation and reinforced with headslapper's personal experience. Not only is that a plausible reason, IMHO it makes a lot more sense than suggesting that Morris would sabotage his defense just because he likes Kendricks better than Durant. But since you've slapped the blinders on and allowed your distaste for all things Morris to dictate your position on this I guess we'll just agree to disagree.
See you in another thread, my friend. I'm moving on.
