Because nobody is going to offer him a HC spot again this year IMO.
Out of the 5 reasons mentioned, the main one for me was the Red Zone D. IMO, that is the most impressive part of our D. They are really good in the RZ.
Good Run D? Yup, but I give more credit to Wagner than Morris for that improvement based on prior run D before Wags got here. It seemed like we were a lot worse at stopping the run before Wags arrived. The Run D under Morris IMO, was not all that great before that.
Injuries to the D? Yeah, ask the offense about injuries! lol Compared to the O, our D is super healthy! Did we have more than any other team on D this year? Not sure if this is a good reason.
Liked by the Players? Yeah, whatever. I guess that's cool but not a requirement for a good D IMO. There were lots of coaches who were loved by the players but unfortunately, the players aren't the ones responsible for hiring the HC.
"Change the Talent...not the coordinator"? Is it easier to change one DC or multiple players for ones that are better? This is a silly reason to me. I think most people are ok with Morris, Just not how he uses so much Charmin Shell and doesn't seem to adjust game to game. Teams know EXACTLY what they are going to see against our D. 10 yard cushions between the 20's. Every play.
Maybe the better answer would be to have the coordinator "change" his scheme? Can he improve the scheme to make it better "outside the RZ"? I bet he could. This would be my vote.
Anyone want to guess the over\under on HC job offers Mr. Morris gets this year? I'll put it at 1. What ya got? Over or under?
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
