Questioning Morris’ stones or manhood is a strawman of your own making. If there’s a character flaw—and the only reason I bring this up is because you’ve made these threads into a chapter of faults where we reveal our own or our neighbors dirty laundry—that I think haunts Morris is stubbornness.
I’ve never once thought he was soft personally or dumb. He clearly can call a good game and proved it in the playoff run.
But for whatever reason he calls a soft, bend but don’t break defense. It drives me dang well crazy and makes my watching of my favorite team’s games a painful experience.
And I can’t call out someone’s defensive philosophy or I’m a hater? I’m laughing so hard in my head it tickles.
I know you know a lot about the game, Jim, but you haven’t convinced me Morris is irreplaceable. Would that he’d make us all happy and be replaced with a better version of himself, the one that called a great stretch of games that got us a Lombardi.
