If Perkins was the best QB on the roster he'd be playing. But he's not, nor is he the 2nd best QB on the roster. If anyone thinks an additional 5-8 QB scrambles (exactly what Perkins would give the team) is the final piece of this cake, they're sadly mistaken. Sorry, his preseason performances against players no longer in the NFL don't equal all that much.
But maybe the Rams can sign Nelson Spruce to help put this team over the hump as well.
If the Rams are going to tank a season I'd rather that occur when they have a first round pick in their holster.
