I've watched Goff and so far I think he's good but not great. He still makes some pretty bad throws and he doesn't see the entire field and find good options to throw to. I think the system they're giving him is helping him, that and a very good O Line.
The Detroit defense isn't as bad as advertised. Their head coach is a pretty bad when it comes to game management and he's put his defense, and offense, in some bad positions just because he's called time outs at the wrong time, or failed to call time outs, or called some bone-headed "cutesy" plays. In my view they are showing more potential than last year but are partly hurt by their head coach.
