Robert Woods / Amon-Ra St. Brown

September 28, 2022 12:37PM
I remember back to the 2013 NFL draft when I prayed that the St. Louis Rams would select Robert Woods, a true bonafide WR to help a struggling Sam Bradford. Nahhhh...let's draft Tavon #8 overall instead. He's soooooo fast.

Fast forward to 2017 when the LA Rams needed a reliable WR to help a new HC, a struggling Jared Goff and a newly drafted 3rd WR - in steps Woods. And the rest is history.

I bring up Woods because I think that Amon-Ra St. Brown is operating very much like him with respect to Goff in Detroit. A developed WR who gets to where Goff needs to be when Goff needs him to be there and catches the friggin ball when it's thrown to him!

Obviously, the first half of last season was pretty rough for both Goff and the team, but they seemed to pick things up once those two got on the same page.

The Lions would be better if they followed the rest of the division
