This always puzzles me. Why do some QBs get to have support while others do not? For example, I was discussing Lamar Jackson with someone at work and his excuse for why Jackson hasn't won much in the playoffs was that Jackson "doesn't have any support around him."

I've never thought very highly of Jackson because he falls flat on his face in the post season, but lots of people seem to blame the Ravens for not surrounding him with a better ensemble. I've heard sports media folks state the same or similar things when it comes to Jackson's failures.

What gives?
