If you have a guy who has the right skills to do it, which are not easy to find, it's a benefit to the offense. Last season he used Skow out of motion as a lead blocker but expanding on that has the ability to put pressure on defenses.

If you consider Skow to be a WR and the package as 11 it means you're giving up some physicality in the run game. Because that DB will generally provide less for them vs the run than Skow does as a lead blocker.

If you consider Skow to be a FB and the package as 21 it means you're giving up a matchup threat out of the backfield for Skow, because he will beat most ILBs.

Obviously the more Skow improves the better this gets too. Teams for now will consider him as a WR but if he becomes a difference maker in the run game then he'll start seeing good matchups across the middle on pass plays.

Interested in seeing where this goes. Also look at the depth. McClutch looks big enough to do it, don't know if he's as willing a blocker in a lead role but we'll see. Also Harris is big. Fragile and skinny but still a good sized dude and all three are good enough to beat LBs routinely.
