Having said that, Allen got the ball out in 2.4 seconds. How many teams can get pressure in UNDER 2.4 seconds?

Since the ball was coming out so fast, doesn't it make sense to play some "man" or play closer to the LOS to at least slow down the WR and maybe knock him off his route just enough for that pressure to get there or cause an int or incompletion?

or drift to the right and throw it anyway . . . that would mean he wouldn't get it off in 2.4 seconds but it would give time for all his receivers to get open and if they are not. . . seeing the names on the backs of jerseys would tell him "run".

The Staley defense is what it is---the Fangio defense---whatever you want to call it--but with a Penny front (5-1) being used 20-30% since 2020 . . . you have one inside linebacker and one of the OLBers usually drops and those OLbers are not the best cover guys . . .

But with the Fangio scheme it is possible to play 4-yard or press looks . . . some teams do it. Lots of teams use this and you can see soft coverages

I stole this one from Twitter---and this worked vs Rodgers (except for the one play that the TD was dropped and that was his guy getting beat, letting someone behind him) But just watch this year and note the depths of the CBs with guys from the Fangio tree---you'll see tons of 8-yard off coverage.
