We really can't compare VJ with McCutcheon at this point. VJ was a starting WR in a SB winning team. He had over 800 yards receiving as the third WR. He knows the system now and has gotten better every year. He is out too deep threat. McCutcheon looked great in fake games against mostly back up players. I was very excited seeing him play. He may be the next big find. But, as it stands he was an undrafted WR out of Montana State. He does not have measured blazing speed. He seems to be well covered but wins with body positioning on jump balls. Love his hands. Very happy he made the squad. But, he is a ways away from the VJ level right now. Now as far as VJ versus OBJ here is the differences. VJ is coming off a minor knee repair. OBJ is coming off a very serious major knee repair. OBJ will garner the bigger contract. When healthy he is a star. When both are healthy OBJ is a 2 and VJ is a 3. Both are fast but OBJ has the best hands in the league while VJ still body catches. If both are healthy you do what you can to keep both but if you can't of course you keep OBJ. He is a high 2. He is a 1 everywhere without CK and Davante. But, what we don't know is how is his knee? He had surgery a while ago and we aren't seeing little videos of him doing rehab or drills. His availability is totally an unknown. VJ might play next Thursday but, if not, will probably be ready for game 2. If our Rams can bring back a healthy OBJ he goes to the 2 spot, ARob becomes an uncoverable 3 and VJ becomes our 4. Tutu, SKOW and McCutcheon drop to 5-7 where they belong. Could be Tutu makes VJ expendable. McCutcheon could keep moving up, but who could cover our 1-4? Nobody can even cover our 1. No #2 DB could stay with OBJ. No #3 DB has a chance against ARob. And who has a solid #4?DB? They would have to cover VJ or Tutu? Good luck with that. What about 5 wide with Tutu? Name a linebacker of a dime DB anywhere who can run with him? There aren't any. We win every match up. And this is without motioning and scheming people open. And we haven't really mentioned Higbee or Akers or Hendu coming out.
