because I did... and that without knowing a thing about him personally. That's part of it, no doubt... but also I didn't see his 'fault's', well noted here, to the degree others saw in him. The guy seemed above average in clutch situations... not elite, but reliable.... and perhaps more than that quite adept at drawing attention away from the other WR's and TE's. IOW, in unspectacular fashion he was doing his job when he got the chance. His main 'fault', if you will...
And to me... is that he hasn't seemed to progress that way I would have expected him to. Which doesn't mean he's a bust or anything near that... just not at the level I thought he'd be at this point in his career. And that said...
I like the guy... and I mean his play, not just him as a person. He's certainly not CK, nor where I expect AR to be... but he's solid, IMHO. - JamesJM
