I’m gonna try hard to be as fair and objective as possible here.
Let’s see…
Atwell has speed and hands but is VERY limited as a blocker when not the target. A’ tell’ as to play call when he goes in and is susceptible to injury because of his size.
Skowronek has good size, is good blocker, and outstanding on teams but his hands are suspect. Not good in any WR. Good hands are #1 required skill set.
Jefferson is all around good WR but he still doesn’t fight for the ball well, like not even coming back for an under thrown ball which results in an interception. Maddening.
McCutcheon lacks experience but has good speed (faster than Skow), great hands, gets open quickly, tremendous ’want to’, wins virtually all contested catches, and can contribute on ST.
When I review the above, I think McCutcheon could be a helluva 3rd or 4th WR. Who knows how high his ceiling actually is as he gains experience? And I also think he would be an overwhelming mismatch for a dime CB on any opponent when McVay goes to 4 WR sets. Stafford will be licking his chops. Lol.
Yeah, I’m VERY optimistic about McCutcheon’s Ram future.
