I think you have to consider Gervase, Rapp and maybe Hines III as well.

i looked up rapp but not the other 2. he was the 1st place i looked when i saw howard was cut.
rapp is an inch shorter and 10 lbs lighter than howard who is already very small for an ilb. so i don't see rapp as a backup ilb.

i also think rapp is still our starting ss, regardless of ramsey's disdain.

my son says he read some jourdan saying that the rams may've released howard to try to get him back at a lesser price.
