This is a good point. And I'm wondering if, even if in-game adjustments were under consideration...did McVay have the personnel (i.e. TE's) available to execute them. Yes, Hopkins definitely made a couple of plays for us in the receiving game, but I'm not so sure how comfortable he'd have been with adjustments in the run game (I don't believe that's ever been his forte).
The issue of in-game adjustments (at least on offense) is still an open question for me.
