So did Morris stick to his guns and the players eventually got better or did Morris realize he needed to make changes?
I think of it more as Morris mastered the Fangio defense,
learned how to use his players, and developed his play-calling skills as the season went on more so than either the players getting better or Morris making changes.
Sounds like you are saying Morris "changed" as the season went on. Whether or not it was due to "learning" as you say or McVay getting more involved, either way he changed "something" and it worked really well.
I also think the players got a little better too but it seemed to me like they were being put in better positions to succeed also.
IMO, there is no way Morris doesn't get a HC gig next year. If he is over looked again there will be a reason we don't know of. I like the guy. He won me over and I hope he gets another shot at HC.
He certainly should have got more interviews this year. It's almost as if he wasn't even considered by most of the teams in need of a new HC. What did he have? 2 interviews? As good as our D was, for him to only get 2
nibbles" is very confusing.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
