There hasn't be so much as a whisper that a negative outcome is possible for JG's surgery. Which, btw, is over and they already know if it is going to be ok with proper rehab and time.
So the idea that the shoulder is stopping the show I think is a bit overblown. If someone really wanted him, and the NIners were serious about moving him, I think something would have already happened. The Mayfield thing is a whole other matter. I believe that the Browns not only will NOT receive anything for Baker, they'll have to give a draft pick to get someone to eat that contract. All that said, if I was a QB hurting team I'd make that bet in a heartbeat. This was Cleveland he was playing for, with HC and OC changes, meaning system changes, that always hinder a QB's development.
JG is a known quantity. No reason to expect the shoulder surgery to have not been successful. It's not like he had a shoulder replacement, for Pete's sake.
