The Lance thing has the potential to cost the GM his job.

Kid's got a great arm and can run and he's their guy for better or worse. You have to see what he has because you've made the deal. Now it they really feel he's not ready like Billy Devaney realized after drafting Jason Smith, then pivot, but I don't think the Niners feel that way about Lance and he needs reps to fully evaluate. Play Lance and then you can pivot.
