That would be a significant improvement.
meaning the linemen have a tough thing to do ...they play (ideally to their way of thinking) 6 men in the box, not 7 so for a team that when they play the 5-1 play with one man short they do a good job.
When they play the 3-4 or 6-1 vs the 49ers and Titans they are a mixed bag, sometimes good sometimes not as good.
But the issue for 2 years has not been the run stopping. We are expecting too much. 2020 was better than 2021 but 2021 was top 5 in NFL. If we are not happy with top 5 then we cannot be pleased,
The other team gets paid, too.
Stopping the short passing game is the problem, especially in the middle.. we need Lbers and short defenders to break on the ball better
