Did AD lose his desire to win another SB?
Does AD have less passion for the game now?
AD said "he's got nothing left to accomplish" so that sounds to me like he lost his will to play. No goals worth achieving anymore.
Once you feel like that it might be time to go. Take a year off and see if the "fire" comes back. If not...Happy Retirement. If it does come back, we still own his rights.
I actually am surprised that AD would just "hang it up" after 1 SB win. Kind of disappointing too. He is possibly the GOAT to play his position and this makes me question that.
Do GOAT's "quit" after 1 SB win? I don't think so. GOAT's want to play forever IMO.
I am not saying AD isn't the GOAT at his position because he is which is why this is so strange to hear him talk like this. It's not like he's 40 years old.
H3ll, even Von Miller doesn't want to quit yet and got himself another $100 Mil contract and still feels he has things to accomplish.
Is AD just too emotional right now and not thinking right?
Is this a ploy to get more money and a new contract?
Does AD just not want to commit to the "offseason" stuff and will want to come back a week or 2 before the season all rested up?
What I do know is that if AD feels he doesn't have the "fire" anymore, then he should go and enjoy retirement. I am totally blindsided by his talk and I guess I underestimated his desire to play the game as much as I thought he did.
Either way, I will always consider him one of my favorite Rams. I just cannot fathom him leaving the game yet. We shall see.
