I think his main goal was that Superbowl ring, he wanted to win one so bad. and I feel that since he accomplished that he feels like the struggle was worth it but now it's time to exhale and he misses his 2 children who live in Pittsburgh.
After hearing the words, he has said for the past few years, I get the feeling if he was traded to Pittsburgh, he would be more inclined to play as he would have better availability to his two children there. a lot of this spiked because his eldest daughter has outside interests and the covid restrictions that did not allow her to travel to visit him in LA as often as before.

Donald is an emotional man, he loves his family and thinks of all Rams personnel as extended family. but nothing is more important to him than his children. Hes a great man and father. this very well could be the end of the Donald era, But I think he will regret making that decision. he has another 5 years left in the tank, I would tell him, give those 5 years all you got then retire and spend the time with your family.
