I think if he sees a chance to go back to back he gives it a shot.

If AD feels like he "fulfilled" his goal after ONE ring, then IMO, 2 rings were never that important to him.

This whole thing sounds fishy to me. I think he comes back for another run! I hope he just needs some time off.
