Problem is, it almost ALWAYS gets harder to run the deeper you go into the playoffs. Because they best teams are invariably strong defensive teams and, more often than not, strong against the run. After the AZ game, they simply could not run well against the Bucs, Niners and Bengals. Wasn't a surprise the Bucs and Niners were stout, but the Bengals were expected to be vulnerable to the run.
Many think McVay stuck to the run too long in the SB, but I don't really know if that's true or not. It's not like we were lighting it up in the passing game after Odell went down and I'm sure that was a huge factor in why he continued to try.
