I am a Bama alum, and while Bama is still playing for national championships, their defenses which used to be all world are now just pretty good and stacked with 5 star prospects. The defenses decent started a year after Bama started lighting up the scoreboard with Tua. The Tide defense was tougher when it practiced against a physically dominant ground and pound offense every week. Now the Tide defense is great against good passing attacks because they face elite receivers every day in practice. Point being the only way to have a physical defense is to have a physical offense. The Rams tried to be physical with the Niners defense. They laughed it off because they practice against a much more physical defense every day that is committed to being physical and not just the Rams trying to act tough for one game. The Rams need to find a new Saffold and become a more physical offense in camp via Sony and stay committed to it. Then the skill players can dominate too.
