I felt like that drop he had in the Ravens game was just a huge drop. It was right before the missed FG and would have been a first down into the red zone.
It wasn't a great throw by Stafford, it was high and a touch behind him but it hit both his hands and he was wide open. It's the kind of catch that changes games and makes a good team great and a good WR a ProBowl WR.
When a team's WR's and TE's start making those catches and help the QB out by making those plays it changes the team.
Look at the lost Superbowl to the Pats... If Cook makes one of those catches it changes the game. He just couldn't make that tough catch and it was the chance the Rams had and they fell flat.
Great teams make those catches and if the Rams want to win the Superbowl this year Van has to make that catch.

Yeah and that's kind of what I was alluding to. I don't want to knock him because he's played well this season for us. But don't think for a minute that something that annoys you with an offense doesn't make McVay worse. May be he soft-benched Van there because of that drop. Might be part of that equation where Benny got more snaps.
