This Covid thing has gone from frightening, to head scratching, to nothing but blatant attempts at government control over every facet of our lives. None of it makes sense any longer. It has become entirely politicized. Canon fodder. The medical and scientific communities can't agree about it. Our children have been horribly set back and damaged by these local and federal decisions. It has wrecked havoc on our economy. thousands and thousands of family businesses gone forever. And still people sit on their hands.

Look at the NFL. What has changed in just a few days that the requirements for players playing has evolved so drastically.. and frequently? Brand new scientific evidence? Brand new breakthrough treatments? Heck no. Teams having no idea who will be available sometimes until game day? Purely political.

LA County government is so nuts they may be driving the Superbowl away along with the revenue and the pride that goes with it.

Still, I must say... if you live in LA County, remember you voted these people into office. If you live in a state that still insists on destroying business and your childrens' education, remember you voted these people into office. So... vote them out. Remember at the polls just who it is that is driving all this. The damage they have caused. Some of it irreparable. And please no "the virus caused it". The virus doesn't make human policy. Humans make virus policy.

Enough. If we want any semblance of a functional society to remain, we cannot accept this stuff any longer. And of course it is far greater than the NFL and the Superbowl. But these are a microcosm of what is happening in every corner of our nation.

Whew!

It's literally been...what, 10 or 12 posts since you've leveled some crack on California or LA? I suppose it had to feel good to get that off your chest? We'll set the calendar for another 3 or 4 days until the next?

Questions:

Do you even live in California? Do you even live in LA County?

If you do (on one or both counts), you're in luck!

Gavin Newsom isn't going to stop you (or anyone else) from leaving the state.

Garcetti (or the County Board of Supervisors) isn't going to prevent you from leaving the county. I hear Tulare Co. is lovely this time of the year. I'm sure they'd love to have you.

By all means. Please leave...quickly. Hell, I'll even help you move (which I would never volunteer to do with my friends).

And if you don't live in California or LA County...

Why is either or these places flying out of your mouth so often. As a resident of LA County, I rarely find myself talking about any other county in the state (let alone one in another state). And it's not because I'm dismissive of them, but there's really no reason for me to think about Tulare or Modoc Counties (or even Orange or Ventura). What they're doing for their citizens is of little consequence to me.

Just sounds like a of anger (or @#$%&-envy) coming from you that you have to get out - regardless of the topic.
