Yep...it was so warm the day of the game that the kickoff temperature wasn't the lowest in Super Bowl history for an outdoor venue. IIRC, kick off temperature was 49 degrees (Namath looked a bit silly standing at mid-field with a mink coat on for the coin toss, but I get the history behind it!)
Lowest temperature for a Super Bowl (excluding ones held in a dome)? Supe VI in New Orleans (Tulane Stadium). Temperature was somewhere around 40 degrees at kickoff.
