Appears more people are taking the subject far more seriously than me.
Personally, I've always had an issue with colloquial language, especially speech that borders on sexism. My only point-small one at that-was that I can very easily see my wife and her buddies talking precisely as the coach did. Furthermore many a "man" would not talk like that. The phrase is simply outdated-IMO. No biggie-just one "man's" peculiar idiosyncrasy.
