Like burning Man, but less fun. Only a dude could could coach one of the worst seasons in the NFL and talk tough and have people loving his 'attitude'. Interesting that he was hired before any of the playoff and SB coordinators were available. Not that they were a better choice, but he spent his coaching career as a TE coach. He wasn't know as the architect of a defense or offense. Would it have killed the Lions season to wait a few weeks and interview some more people? Move seemed like desperation- 'we're too soft, we need a task master to whip us into shape' Maybe he was a cheaper hire for the cheapo Ford family?
