I don't think getting an 'out' has anything to do with it. He'll start Lance because he believes, (as do I), Lance gives him the best chance to win.
I know Lance is not well regarded on this board.... I'm not so sure, obviously I hope the boards right. Admittedly I have not seen enough of him to form any firm opinion but what I have seen makes me believe this kid can play.
I do think this: Whomever starts at QB it's SF's offensive weapons that worry me more than the QB. And even a bigger worry for me is that I think Shanny knows what play McVay is going to call before McVay does.... I believe McVay needs to come out of the unyielding 'formula' mindset and take what SF's is giving them... that's sure as hell what SF is going to do.
Which leads me to say once again that what aggravates me the most about this match-up... I wholeheartedly believe the Rams have the players, the talent, and MORE than enough ability to beat the Niners.... they just need to use those gifts. - JamesJM
