Agree with all of that and what I wonder is what kind of conversations McVay has with Stafford about these things? Can McVay coach him out of these bad habits that he's developed over a decade of NFL experience? Or is this just who he is and we have to accept it?
After Stafford threw the pick into triple coverage, with a wide open Jefferson underneath, the cameras showed McVay talking to Stafford as he came off of the field. Couldn't read McVay's lips, but his demeanor was... interesting. He was smiling with his eyes wide open as he was saying something to Stafford and the body language, to me, indicated that McVay was a bit incredulous that Stafford made that throw, but he was reluctant to show anger or disappointment. But I'm certain that inside he was both.
