Caldwell inherited Tony Dungy's Superbowl winning team. So the next year Indy went 14-2. It was all downhill after that and he was fired a couple of years later.
Next he goes to Detroit, has 1 great year with Stafford and Megatron, and then it's all downhill. Fired.
He is like the Arizona Cardinals. Starts out hot, then fizzles.
The Jags need to do better. This isn't the type of guy you want to try to rescue an ailing team. Problem is, there are darn few humans that can do such a reclamation project successfully.
I guess that's why I'm so defensive about McVay. The guy rescued a sorry team when no one else seemed to be able to, and now towards the end of his 5th season has never had a losing season and 4 of those 5 years went to the playoffs. And, has made the organization so attractive to work for that players WANT to come to the Rams even when they have other choices and perhaps for a little more money. It's good to be a Rams fan and the future remains bright... as long as McVay is here and I think Snead deserves much of the credit as well.
