Sometimes this board becomes almost unreadable. Even during wins the belly aching can get too much to take. The requirement that all players must perform to their highest levels every game, and circumstances be damned, is almost too much to take. The idea that coaches must (always in hindsight, of course) have made every call correctly and managed the game correctly.... to some ethereal standard.... must accompany even a win. Maybe those Never Satisfied Rams fans have short memories. For the Never Satisfied:
2004 7 - 9
2005 6 - 10
2006 7 - 9
2007 3 - 13
2008 2 - 14
2009 1 - 15
2010 7 - 9
2011 2 - 14
2012 7 - 8 - 1
2013 7 - 9
2014 6 - 10
2015 7 - 9
2016 4 - 12
McVay is hired
2017 11 - 5
2018 13 - 3
2019 9 - 7
2020 10 - 6
2021 11 - 4 with 2 to play
This griping and calling out Stafford and McVay remind me of the Warner glory years. Fans got so spoiled that if EVERY game wasn't pretty, and EVERY unit didn't play at a top level every week, it almost didn't matter that the team won. The same Never Satisfied crawl out of the woodwork and criticize every angle of the game, nearly every play, that they didn't feel met their standards. Winning didn't matter as much as HOW they won. Players aren't allowed a down game, no matter what. In some ways I feel sorry for you because you just don't know how to be a happy fan anymore.
Your Rams team leads the toughest division in the NFL. It is 4-0 for December. It is currently seeded #2 in the NFC. It was able to practice twice over the past 16 days due to Covid. And due to Covid the Rams had 5 days from their last game before playing the Vikes, and they had to travel. Even then only to find out a day before the game that their stellar LT and his backup were out. Then with Allen's injury they played almost the entire game with a Undrafted rookie at LT.
And they WON.
Get real.
