Think it was early idk though can't recall when. For me though the thing is you can see the offense on its heels and what we need is someone the OL believes in to mash a bit when things are going tough. It really felt like abandoning the run game is what killed us. I mean even in the redzone there you can run 3x and punt the ball and not give up points and who knows maybe Hekk bails you out with a boomer.
McVay seemed determined to force that air game but the Titans were sitting on his route combos. And from there Stafford should have known better than to force it as well as hold it too long. He played a bad game for the record, not gonna defend him here. But when the pass game is shut down by a good defense and you're averaging 5 ypc on the ground with Hendy maybe mashing that ball is the proper response.
Unfortunately all great OCs tend to get pass happy when things get ugly. They all tend to forget about the run in certain game situations. But you would think he'd have a backup plan especially after halftime where he tells the OL "ok we're gonna get on these guys and you can fire off on the ground here in the second half." Just don't know why he didn't unless it's related to Hendy being hurt and Michel not fully knowing the offense yet (he is a Ehrhardt Perkins dude of course).
Either way for me if I'm McVay I have Snead searching for another RB. Someone with some power to his game and hopefully someone who already knows the WCO.
