I can't deny that such things happen as you suggest.
That said, Watson doing this speaks to a very lacking character, at the least. You want your kids to be looking up to him? This is no mistake on his part, by any reasonable definition of a mistake. It's a long series of deliberate and considered behaviors that could define him as a human being.
Doesn't The Shield want to rid themselves of such people, like they just rid themselves of Jon Gruden (who is accused of doing nothing more than speak/writing distasteful words... at least distasteful to the current cultural/political trends)?
So why the kid gloves for Watson? Why the assumption that all these women are part of a large conspiracy for money, or are all liars? Prostitution is illegal in the USA, and that goes for the clients as well.
It has long been established that consent exists strictly in the mind of the woman. For instance, a Prostitute can be raped and a man be held accountable for it if she doesn't want the man as a customer but he forces it.
I'm in no way convicting Watson; all there are is mountains of unproven allegations. I'm saying that the charges are very serious; he didn't fail to pay a bucket full of parking tickets. And yes, he HAS admitted some time ago to performing sex acts with some of these women, (unwanted according to them) and it is also a fact that at least 2 complaints are in the hands of the DA as criminal cases.
I'm in disbelief that any team with an owner that had any sense of decency, or isn't tone deaf, would ever want to be mentioned as in trade talks for him until this matter has run its course. Clearly the owner of the Dolphins must be that miscalculating owner, and one way or another he's going to pay for this.
