Jourdan pointed out Staley is read and anticipate while Morris is more read and react but that difference is way more nuanced than just play tighter coverage. For me this defense isn't a finished product that has experienced change. I don't think Morris could call this defense exactly like Staley would even if he wanted to. Our defense is replacing a handful of starters and a DC, I never expected this defense to be as good after the 4 weeks of the season as they were at the end of last season.
