I call passive when you're playing 5+ yards off the WR. IMO, guys like Ramsey are better suited for press coverage.

all-22, and where a CB plays is mostly up to the DB, within reason. Watch games around the NFL
rarely do you see press coverage. Usually, when they show it, they bail. WRs are too good to play
press-man coverage,
Then watch last year's all-22, there is not much press there---Rams don't play it.
Watch what the Chargers do tonight---will be what Rams have been doing. You won't see press
you'll see zones and guys trying to break on the ball. They use a safety, James, though in the star
position, we use Ramsey
I think, yes, the calls are based on formations---and if, say, AZ, is in this formation, call it 2x2, then
there will be a call---say Cover-6
Last year, the call would have been, generally, the same.
If Cards rin 3x1, then there is a coverage they like for that. I think it is called "mint".
