I saw a long pass play that was great, but at the end there were 20-30 yards or whatever that came from the Bears
not touching Jefferson down. So, isn't it reasonable to say the throw are great and it was a huge play but there was
also an error, a big error that turned a long play into a longer play and a TD.
So, it's kind of a fact---no?
So, while I think it was good---he got 2-3 big breaks, too, ones that bolster his passer rating.
I mean we all thought Goff was elite until after that KC game in 2018 and even then he got us to the Super Bowl.
My thing is to wait and see and not fall for the hype. If he turns out to be elite, that is great, but my opinion is that he has
to do it for more than one game and I think you agree with that
You can't allow yourself to enjoy a great game? That's too bad. Who knows what it will lead to but last night was a "great" game.
How many times have the Rams fallen flat on prime time games? The grand opening of the stadium. The hopes and expectations of the Stafford trade. And Stafford comes out and hits the ground running. Not really sure why you want to marginalize his TD to Jefferson. Stafford made a perfect throw and Jefferson had the awareness to finish for the TD. That's a good thing. In years past, that play would have come back because someone's fingernail touched him at some point. As others have noted, Stafford's vision is on a whole other level.
There was a lot more going on last night than just any old game. For Stafford to have the highest rated game of his career in answering the bell, I think that qualifies as great.
