Both of these guys have rare traits and are from small schools (Weber State and Brown). They have had a year to develop into NFL players with the Rams. Maybe they are ready for some playing time and contributions this year.
I posted an article on Hoecht quoting his coaches at Brown a couple days ago. They said something along the lines of: Its nice when your most talented player is also the hardest worker on your team. They talked about his work ethic and leadership.
I saw something from Hoecht saying his pro day was cancelled last year due to Covid. So he made a video of himself doing a Proday to send out to teams. He was scouted by SF and was supposed to have an in person meeting but that also got canceled due to Covid. We lucked out there.
