First, allow me to be clear where I stand. I like Wolford as #2, and by a good margin. I love the potential Perkins has shown... and would like to see 3 QB's, bringing Perkins along... but realize that may not be feasible due to a lack of depth elsewhere.
As for my question... I don't read as much as most of you, I just subscribed to The Athletic. I keep seeing posted here, and then read on The Athletic today, that McVay loves Wolford. Why does that seem to be a consensus opinion among fans and apparently reporters?
I get that McVay started Wolford in a critical game, and was happy with his performance... but I don't see, by Wolfords play, reason to believe McVay likes him so much that there is no way he'd part with him... UNLESS... he has indicated that in interviews - which you guys may have read?
