All moves are risky. Could Michel wind up with 250 yards and miss 3/4 of the year? Sure. But he could also complement Henderson really well, rush for 800+ yards and help them go deep into January.
And for the 141st overall pick in 2022? That's not a lot. And especially not when they will
still have 10 other draft picks. The last four 141st overall picks in the Draft were TE Jacob Harris (Rams, 2021), CB John Reid (2020, Texans), TE Zach Gentry (2019, Steelers) and CB Shaquem Griffin (2018, Seahawks).
Not a move they were planning to make 6 weeks ago. But hardly a panic or short-sighted move either.
And IF Michel plays well they could also recoup a late round 2023 comp. pick. Or re-sign him for another year. Who knows.
