I don't think he is as a reliable passer. I don't see him as a viable BU at this point in his career. He has done a nice job for a guy trying to make a team.....How would he do under real fire, I don't want a guy as the backup who has not shown a thing under the real gun, we have too much riding on this year IMO. He's got the movements for sure (at least against his peers...3rd stringers)....I would want him to have a bit more time under his belt to become the step in #1.
Put him out there and roll the dice on getting him back for the PS....I am much more concerned with fixing some RB issues that will for sure show up come regular season., don't want to add a doubt at QB IF Matthew steps out a game or so. We know that Wolf has the leadership with these 1st stringers, to me that's the most important asset for a BU.
Wolford arm strength is questionable. His 3 completions in the Seahawks game last year was shaky at best. One of those passes should have been intercepted. The competition for qb 2 is closer than you think.
Perkins has a stronger arm and his leadership ability was on full display on that last drive for the TD. You can say it's against 3rd string competition but his receivers and offensive line was also 3rd string.
They better not put him on the practice squad. I rather put Wolford on the practice squad...he has a better chance of getting there. Perkins will be pick up by another team if we cut him.
